About · Meet Marlène

Hi, dear someone. I'm Marlène.

Writer, speaker and storyteller. I write the letters I once needed, so that you can feel a little less alone in yours.

Some of you know me as @juuust_angel. However you got here, welcome. Pull up a chair.

My story

I started writing in 2018 with a small mental-health blog called The Cotton Candy. It was the only place I knew how to be honest.

Those words slowly found people, and people started writing back. What I've learned since is that most of us aren't looking for perfect answers. We're looking for someone who will say the quiet thing out loud, and then stay.

My faith

“God is within her, she will not fall.”

Psalm 46:5 is the verse I live by. My faith isn't a neat bow on top of my story. It's the thread running through the messy middle, and I share it the way I'd offer a seat at my table: no pressure, no performance.

My why

Because everyone deserves a “me too.”

Every room of Dear Someone exists to help you come back to yourself.
